Christmas Bells are Ringing

"Christmas Bells are ringing.
Here's what they say to you.
Jesus is born in Bethlehem."

Jingle Bells

"Dashing through the snow,
in a one horse open sleigh.
Over the fields we go,
laughing all the way.
Bells on bobtail ring,
Making spirits bright,
What fun it is to ride and sing
A sleighing song tonight.

Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells,
Jingle all the way.
Oh what fun it is to ride
In a one-horse open sleigh.

Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells,
Jingle all the way.
Oh what fun it is to ride
In a one-horse open sleigh."

Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer

"Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer
Had a very shiny nose.
And if you ever saw it,
You would even say it glows.

All of the other reindeer
Used to laugh, and call him names.
Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer
Never played in reindeer games.

Then one foggy Christmas Eve
Santa came to say,
Rudolph, with your nose so bright,
Won't you guide my sleigh tonight?

Then, how the reindeer loved him,
And they shouted out with glee,
Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer,
You'll go down in history."
-Johnny Marks 1949

Frosty the
Snow Man

"Frosty the snow man was a jolly happy soul,
With a corn cob pipe
And a button nose
and two eyes made out of coal.

Frosty the snow man
is a fairy tale, they say,
He was made of snow
but the children know
how he came to life one day.

There must have been some magic in that old silk hat they found.
For when they placed it on his head He began to dance around.

Oh, Frosty the snow man
was alive as he could be,
And the children say
He could laugh and play
Just the same as you and me.

Frosty the snow man
Knew the sun was hot that day,
So he said, Let's run
And we'll have some fun
Now before I melt away.

Down to the village,
with a broom-stick in his hand, Running here and there
All areound the square saying
Catch me if you can.

He led them down
the streeets of town
right to the traffic cop.
And he only paused a moment when he heard him holler Stop!

For Frosty the snowman
Had to hurry on his way,
But he waved goodbye
Saying don't you cry,
I'll be back again some day.

Thumpety thump thump,
Thumpety thump thump,
Look at Frosty go,

Thumpety thump thump,
Thumpety thump thump,
Over the hills of snow."

Santa's Using Zebras Now

"Santa's using Zebras nowTo pull his Christmas sleigh.
Cuz a boy in Africa
Came to him one day.

Santa, please drop by, he said
And bring some toys with you.
Santa's using zebras now,
South of Timbuktu.

Donner, Blitzen, all the reindeer
Put him on the spot.
They were used to ice and snow
But Africa was hot.

Then some zebras came along
and they pulled Santa through.
Santa's using zebras now,
South of Timbuktu."
-1968, Al Chorney & John Mitri Habash

Here Comes
Santa Claus

Here comes Santa Claus!
Here comes Santa Claus!
Right down Santa Claus lane!
Vixen and Blitzen and all his reindeer are pulling on the rein.
Bells are ringing, children singing,
all is merry and bright.
Hang your stockings
and say your prayers,
Cause Santa Claus comes tonight.

Here comes Santa Claus!
Here comes Santa Claus!
Right down Santa Claus Lane!
He's got a bag that is filled with toys
for the boys and girls again.
Hear those sleigh-bells jingle jangle,
What a beautiful sight.
Jump in bed, cover up your head,
Cause Santa Claus comes tonight.

Here comes Santa Claus!
Here comes Santa Claus!
Right down Santa Claus Lane!
He doesn't care if you're rich or poor
For he loves you just the same.
Santa knows
that we're God's children,
That makes everything right.
Fill your hearts
With a Christmas cheer,
Cause Santa Claus comes tonight.

Here comes Santa Claus!
Here comes Santa Claus!
Right down Santa Claus lane!
He'll come around
when the chimes ring out,
then it's Christmas morn again.
Peace on earth will come to all
If we just follow the light.
Let's give thanks to the Lord above,
Cause Santa Claus comes tonight.

Picture a Christmas

"Picture a stable in Judea.
Picture a sacred, silent night.
And can you hear
The angels near
And see the star so bright?

Picture the little baby Jesus.
Think of his life and words so dear.
Sing praise to him;
Remember him,
As you picture Christmas this year.

Picture the kind and gentle Jeseph.  Picture the mother, Mary, fair.
And can you see so reverently
The shepherds kneeling there?

Picture the little baby Jesus.
Think of his life and words so dear.
Sing praise to him;
Remember him,
As you picture Christmas this year-

Were You There on
that Christmas Night?

Were you there,
were you there on that Christmas night,
when the world was filled with a holy light?
Were you there to behold,
when the wonder foretold came to earth?

Did you see, did you see
how they hailed him King,
with the gifts so rare
that they chose to bring?
Did you see how they bowed,
as they praised Him aloud at his birth?

Did you hear how the choirs of angels sang, at the glory of the sight?
Did you hear how the bells of heaven rang, all through the night?

Did you know, did you know,
it was God's own Son,
the salvation of the world begun?
Did you know it was love,
that was sent from above to the earth?
Did you know it was love,
that was sent from above to the earth?

"A Single Star"

Long, long ago in old Judea, A single star shown bright above the rest.
It shimmered forth In majesty and glory; Twas a sign the earth had just been blessed.

A single star, sent forth from heaven, a single star to tell us of his birth.
We heard hosannas from a heavenly choir singing peace to men on earth.

A single star led to the child, A baby sleeping in a bed of straw.
A single star, a tiny child, A night of awe.

We watched the star; we knew it's message; our Savior's birth, as prophets had foretold.
The night was still; the earth was calm and peaceful; And the star was wondrous to behold.

A single star, sent forth from heaven, a single star to tell us of his birth.
We heard Hosannas from a heavenly choir singing peace to men on earth.

A single star led to the child, a baby sleeping in a bed of straw,
A single star, a tiny child, a night of awe.
A single star, a tiny child, a night of awe.
